Omdbudsman Marcus Stergio and OFCCP have formally launched the Ombuds Service program. OFCCP created this service to “ensure that all who are involved with the work of the agency have access to a neutral and confidential resource.”
As director of the Ombuds Service, Stergio envisions it as a collaborative effort between OFCCP and federal contractors. The program is designed to encourage more cooperation, improve communication, and move all parties toward equal employment opportunity. As a step in this direction, OFCCP suggests reaching out to Stergio to “initiate a working relationship.”

The Ombuds service aims to enhance the implementation of compliance assistance. Stergio sees this as feasible through conflict resolution as a resulting of addressing concerns in the contractor community. OFCCP is encouraging referrals from all types of stakeholders:
