Posting/Qualifications

Back to Ask the Experts

If a job is posted that requires a certain number of years of experience in the qualifications section, and an applicant applies to the applicant tracking system that does not meet the years of experience qualifications requirement, is it acceptable to move forward with this applicant and consider them as a candidate as long as you consider all other candidates with similar years of experience? Or under OFCCP guidelines would a company be required to take down the posting and re-post the job with updated years of experience required in the qualifications section?

Also, if years of experience changes the job title from a Senior Design Engineer to a Design Engineer, would this also need to be posted differently?
