In mid-February 2021, the U.S. Census Bureau released the EEO Tabulation covering the five-year American Census Survey (ACS) data from 2014-2018. You can find that information on the Bureau’s EEO Tab page, which includes the EEO 1W “Occupation by Sex and Race/Ethnicity for Worksite Geography” and EEO 1R “Occupation by Sex and Race/Ethnicity for Residence Geography.” This data contains the statistical data on race, ethnicity, sex, and other demographic data that allows for an examination of the labor force in a local geographic area. It serves as the primary external benchmark for conducting comparisons between the racial, ethnic, and sex composition of each employer's workforce to its available labor market, and is what federal contractors use to derive availability figures in the development of their Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs). You can filter data by Place, County (EEO 1W only), County Sets (EEO 1R only), and Metropolitan/Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA’s). Note that the data is only accessible right now in a CSV table format. The Bureau stated that the search engine, which is more user-friendly, is expected to be released sometime this March or April. Keep an eye out for that release.
